New Life Revealed!! Come See…

It is time to reveal to the world what has been happening in our lives lately.  This week I released a Bible study I was blessed to write three years ago for a wonderful group of online sisters all over the world.  We all knew it was special because it changed our hearts in very personal ways.  Every time I revisit the pages and consider the words, the Holy Spirit gives me a deeper insight into my own heart as I become closer to Him.   You can find it by clicking here.

During these three years since “I AM” was gifted, I have gone back to college to complete my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with emphasis in Christian Counseling.  I have had an opportunity to use every bit of knowledge gleaned from my coursework in my own home and in my community.  I was given the opportunity to do my internship with a wonderful Christian Counselor in our area where I learned so very much about loving people the way Jesus loves them.  I am very thankful.

After graduation, David and I celebrated our 30^th wedding anniversary with a month long “vacation” to our favorite island hideaway.  One purpose of the trip was to gain clarity for our next steps together.  Matthew recorded the words of Jesus when He promised, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”(Matthew 7:7)  Because we were willing participants, because we asked for guidance, because we sought God’s will for our lives, because we were willing to apply knowledge we have gained over our lifetime of service, God has given us a new mission.

Our new endeavor is Depth Ministries, Inc.  The basis for the ministry is Romans 11:33-36,

“Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God!  How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?  Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?  For from him and through him and to him are all things.  To him be the glory forever.  Amen.”

We have formed a non-profit (501c3) corporation to allow us to minister for the next chapters of our lives.  The beginning phase of the ministry is publishing this book and hopefully others as opportunity arises.  All funds from the sale of this book will go directly into the ministry account to further whatever plan God has for it.  We have enlisted the help of knowledgeable advisors on our Board of Directors and have hired accountability to assure compliance in all our business dealings.  We will do our very best to be good stewards of the trust the public and God has placed in us.

As we continue to make plans for our future, our hearts are turned toward our ministry partners across the globe who are in need of rest.  Over the years, we have cared for many hearts in various physical and emotional ways.  Caring takes a toll on the body, mind and spirit.  Our future goal is to provide a place of rest for anyone in need.  A life lesson I have had to learn is to “Be Still and Know” that He is God and has me in his hands.  (Psalm 46:10)  There is more on that as the doors open and we walk through in faith.

Please be in prayer for our family as we face these new changes and phases of our lives.  There is more than a little angst in our household.  By the way, that is nothing new.  It seems to be where we live.
